"Tsubas", this beautiful square illustrated by Christiane Vauzelles and published in 1991 by Maison Hermès, in silk twill with hand-rolled edges, illustrates "TSUBAS" meaning "guard" in Japanese. This small object completed the ornament of samurai swords. On an ivory background, there are four samurai saddles, on which appear imperial dragons, birds, doe, stag, foliage in a range of ivory, gold, blue/gray colors.... The Tsubas are represented on pompoms at the four cares and in the center. Bears its title at the bottom center, on the left its copyright and the name of Maison Hermès Paris. Dimensions: 88 x 86.
