"Pair Of Louis XVI Armchairs Stamped Pluvinet"
Pair of Louis XVI armchairs in medallion, in lacquered beech wood.They rest on 4 tapered, fluted and rudenté legs. Ample and nicely molded, they have a very beautiful back attachment and a very elegant connection between the armrest and the back crosspieces.
Beautiful damask fabric upholstery (note two small stains on one seat).
Both are stamped P.PLUVINET
Parisian work from the Louis XVI period.

Philippe-Joseph PLUVINET was received as a master on July 14, 1754. Established on rue de Cléry, he produced Louis XV and Louis XVI seats of very high quality, whether simple models only molded, or more abundantly sculpted luxury works. He died in May 1793
