Active then naturalized in France. He had an important activity as an architect. He was one of the first organizers of Dioramas in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member in 1886. He wrote numerous works on architecture, including works on old Paris and Paris through the ages, which are a prodigious documentary source. He also made various drawings on Ancient Rome.
