Louis XV, letter signed [hand secretary]*, one folio page, at Versailles on March 11, 1762. Addressed to the Count of Narbonne for François-Augustin de Genton (1745-1825), former officer, naturalist and geologist [he wrote a work entitled: Mémoire sur les fossilles du Bas-Dauphiné]. Louis XV granted Genton the position of second lieutenant in the regiment of the Royal Grenadiers of Soissons and charged the Count of Narbonne to take note of it. * The hand secretary imitated the king's handwriting and signature on the acts he copied.
