"Louis XV Period Solid Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, Marble Top, 18th Century"
Louis XV period chest of drawers in solid mahogany and marble top. Crossbow-shaped, it rests on short shell feet and uprights with prominent reserves. Sculpted low crosspiece. It opens with 3 large drawers decorated with original gilded bronze. There are no locks. The marble top is very thick, it takes the shape of the chest of drawers. It has been recut in depth, hence the absence of a cutting line on the back edge. The scalloped panels on the sides are in blond mahogany. The two top drawers have a very slightly lighter shade in their center. A lighter stain on the bottom right of the middle drawer and an old scratch with missing mahogany on the last bottom drawer. This is almost invisible but I prefer to point it out). Mid-18th century period.
