"Louis XV Period Chest Of Drawers"
Small Louis XV period chest of drawers or chest of drawers, stamped Jean Nicolas Marchand, received as a master cabinetmaker around 1730-1735, and jurande mark. Chest of drawers in violet wood veneer with ornamentation of bronze rocaille pull handles and sabots. The chest of drawers is topped with a grey Saint-Edouard marble. Easily accommodated in an interior. Jean Nicolas Marchand was one of Louis XV's suppliers through Gilles Joubert, cabinetmaker to the King, and Gaudreaux, cabinetmaker to the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne.
