JAPAN - Muromachi period (1333 - 1573) Koto O Tanto. Fushi and kashira in suite decorated with characters under pine trees on a nanako background. Braided tsuka in brown silk on white shagreen. Menukis depicting horses in engraved and gilded copper. Marugata tsuba in wrought and engraved iron, inlaid with engraved and gilded copper decorated with a dragon in the clouds (unsigned). Kozuka depicting a samurai engraving a tree trunk on a nanako background, signed Moritsune, signed blade. Saya in black and red lacquer in relief imitating the cells of a beehive. Straight blade signed "Bishu ju Osafune Kiyomitsu" and dated "Tenmon 13th year or 1544, regular hamon. Dimensions: 5.5 x 49.5 x 6 cm. Dimensions with base: 14 x 49.5 x 8 cm. Blade length: 39 cm. Nagasa: 28.5 cm.
