KABUTO in wrought iron with two wrought iron plates. THEHEN NO ANA (opening at the top) in gilded copper with four degrees. SHIKORO (neck cover) with four degrees in black lacquered iron and white and orange silk braiding. FUKIGAYESHI (the side fins) in black lacquered wrought iron and white and orange silk braiding. MABI SA SHI (the visor) in wrought iron. MAEDATE in lacquered metal with the image of the Kyogoku clan. Half-mask of samurai called MEMPO in matt black lacquered iron, pronounced chin, mobile nose, pierced nostrils, red lacquered interior. The kabuto and the mempo are signed Mito Myochin ki Yoshiomi. Gorget with three degrees in black lacquered iron and blue silk. SODE (shoulder guards) with seven degrees in black lacquered metal and blue silk. Breastplate with four lamellae of black lacquered iron and blue silk braiding. Arm guards, kote, in chainmail and iron plates. Skirt, kusazuri, and thigh guards, haidate, with five rows in black lacquered metal and blue silk. Leggings, suneate, in iron plates, chainmail and blue silk. Very good general condition. Additional photos and details on request. Sold with its transport chest (gusoku bitsu) covered in embossed and gilded leather with the image of the mon of the Kyogoku clan and its presentation stand. Dimensions of the armor in seated position: 153 x 55 x 46 cm. Notes: In Japan, samurai are commemorated each year, many people and temples often keep such armor for generations.
