Lotas are traditional Indian and Indo-Persian vases.
Four faces make up the decoration, two medallions decorated with characters holding a calligraphed bottle in their hand, seated in flowering bushes, on a gold background accompanied by two medallions each inscribed with seven birds on a gold background.
The four medallions are surrounded by white flowers on a dark red background, surrounded by a midnight blue net.
## The only reference to a miniature resembling our paintings is that of Bustan De Saadi (Bukhara around 1560-1570, Paris, Musée des arts décoratifs) entitled "Young princess in love drinking a cup of wine and meditating on her feelings"
A wide band of round and gold calligraphy is located under the base of the neck, bordered by two friezes.
Eight small medallions painted with flowers, four at the top, four at the bottom, separate the four large compositions.
The rest of the whole of the belly and the everted lip collar is painted in black decorated with entelace and stylized flowers.
## A signature painted on a gold thread above the calligraphic band.
Rare piece, precious embellished with a delicate decoration, in very good condition collection.
A kneeling character is dressed in a blue belted Persian tunic and a red headdress, typical clothing of ancient Persia, the other character in the same position is dressed in red with an almond green veil These paintings suggest the great tradition of Persian miniature art present in Mughal art, also inspired by the miniatures of the school of Tabriz, then capital of the Persian empire.
