"17th Century Copper Painting, Saint Catherine Of Siena..."
Saint Catherine of Siena is an emblematic figure of the Catholic Faith. A Dominican mystic, she is known for her visions, her advice to the popes, and her devotion to the Church. She was proclaimed patron saint of Europe in 1999 by John Paul II. She is also the patron saint of journalists, the media, and all communication professions, due to her epistolary work in favor of the papacy. Let's get back to our subject: a painting executed several centuries ago on a 16.5cm x 12cm copper plate, in a deep, gilded frame, more recent. The details of the photos speak better than words... I add a little emotion: it is still incredible that such a small, old painting has come down to us... and that today, it is you who will possess it...
