"Set Of 6 Cuban Mahogany Chairs, Restoration Period – Early 19th Century"
These Cuban mahogany chairs rest on front legs, called Jacob (legs with ringed balusters with constriction) and back sabre legs. Each belt, sober, underlines a traditional squared seat, composed of straps, horsehair and springs, dressed in a studded fabric in pastel colors with flower decorations. The openwork backs called cathedrals, ending in a point, each have three spindles and two half columns attached to the uprights. This suite presents a warm alternative to accompany a dining table while relying on the reliability and solidity of these six chairs. ******** Period: Early 19th century Excellent condition Waxed finish on hard base Delivery possible in France and internationally.
