"Solid Mahogany Chest Of Drawers, Louis XV Style – Late 19th Century"
Louis XV Bordeaux chest of drawers in solid mahogany with a curved front and sides opening with two identical drawers. The latter are decorated with gilded bronze leafy handles and an original lock in working order with a chiseled bronze entry and an added key. A sculpted shell adorns the lower crosspiece of this curved chest of drawers. Each side is flanked by a slightly raised mahogany panel. The rounded quarter-round legs with a recess at the top are curved at the bottom and end in a crow's foot. At the top, a thick Saint Anne gray marble with a corbin's beak follows the curved lines of the piece of furniture. The latter is stamped "Medeville - Bordeaux". ******* Period: Late 19th century Excellent condition after restoration in our workshop. Oak back. Waxed finish.
