Micro scratches from use. ----- Reference Hugo Schneider & Paul Kneuss, Die Zinngiesser der Schweiz und ihre Marken, Walter-Verlag 1983 The trumpet torch, with its characteristic shape and its decoration limited to a flamed knot, was born on the shores of Lake Geneva in the 1740s. Almost unknown in France, this model had a phenomenal success in Switzerland, and especially in Lausanne, between 1750 and 1770, before falling into disuse. After a revival in Bern at the beginning of the 19th century, this model was reissued by all the major Swiss goldsmith houses throughout the 20th century. Polished pewter versions are not common.
