"Small Coffee Table Stamped Charles Topino"
Small transitional period coffee table composed of a marquetry of vases and flowers on a tobacco wood background framed in rosewood. It opens with a side drawer and a pull tab on the front. It rests on four arched legs joined by a crotch shelf. Charles Topino (circa 1742-1803) – cabinetmaker - master's degree obtained on July 4, 1773: A prolific 18th century cabinetmaker, a great creator of fancy furniture, Charles Topino's reputation is based on his rich furniture and his marquetry of utensils.
