Louis XVI chest of drawers, 18th century. Solid mahogany and veneer on oak and pine frame. Speckled mahogany flap with leather trim forming a writing desk revealing: 6 drawers, a shelf, two lockers and a secret compartment with mechanism. Fluted square uprights, rests on four fluted spinning top feet. Four drawers on the front in three rows. Compasses and hinges in wrought iron. Round bronze entrances and handles. With its key and working lock. Port furniture probably La Rochelle.
