"Oil On Panel View Of Monte Grappa And Boccaor, T. Wolf Ferrari - 1934, Italy"
Oil on panel painting by Teodoro Wolf ferrari executed in 1934, measuring 23.5x16 cm. The most investigated theme is landscape. The motionless, rarefied atmospheres, accompanied by the play of doubles, characterised by the precise, broad brushstrokes of the first period up to the second decade of the 20th century, take Wolf Ferrari to the limit of pictorial decorativism. It is a completely different kind of painting and a far cry from the Venetian ‘secessionist’ trials, certainly more intimist and played entirely on the emotional perception of certain themes that were sincerely dear to him. He exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1912, ‘14, “20 and ”38. The back has an inscription: ‘the Grappa and the Boccaor. Morning August 1934'. Signed at lower left. The state of conservation is good. It has a non-coeval frame measuring 33x26x3.5 cm.
