"Love Medal: A Cottage And A Heart In Gold And Enamel"
18 carat gold medal, eagle's head hallmark. Heart-shaped, it presents a decoration of a cottage, in a sky of two shades of blue. The midnight blue and the turquoise blue are treated in plique-à-jour enamel. It is surrounded by the text: "a cottage and a heart". The interior is lit, and we can see the heat of the fire through the window. It is signed by the engraver Emile Monier. The back is blank. Note a small scratch in the enamel above the roof, without loss of material. Weight 5 g Dimensions: 3 cm X 2.5 cm (excluding bail) Work circa 1900
