The work is signed, located and dated lower right. The title of the work "Abend auf der Heide" (Evening on the Heatherland), the name of the artist and the name of the city are repeated on the back.
The work is clean, in very good condition. It is offered in a sober modern frame in black lacquered wood.
The artist
Felix Eisengraber was born in Leipzig in 1874. He began studying painting at the art academy in this city. He then left for Munich and continued his training at the Academy of Fine Arts with Ludwig von Herterich and Paul Hoecker.
Eisengraber mainly painted landscapes of his region and, more generally, of Tyrol. His works have been auctioned on numerous occasions.
