"Boin Taburet, Paris Circa 1870 -1890, Louis XV Teapot, Solid Silver "
Lovely teapot in flamboyant Louis XV style in solid silver. It is inspired by eighteenth century models by Pierre Germain or Meissonier. Georges Boin was already an antique dealer and silversmith for some years when he joined forces with his son-in-law Taburet. He made objects of very high quality that were directly inspired by the designs and goldsmithing of the greatest French goldsmiths of the eighteenth century, such as the father and son Germain or the ornamentalist Meissonnier. Many contemporaries attribute to him the return to fashion of the Louis XV style in this second part of the nineteenth century. This small teapot proves in any case that he married with great finesse his knowledge of period pieces and his perfect mastery of his art as a goldsmith. This little gem is in perfect condition and weighs 425 grams and can contain up to 0.550 liters of tea.
