A superb late Victorian boxed set featuring two matching sterling silver salts with their original spoons, finely crafted in a Neoclassical style. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1900, by Henry Williamson, these elegant tablewares are preserved in their original fitted presentation case.

Each oval navette-shaped salt features a refined reeded design, large loop side-handles, and a luxurious gold-washed interior to protect against salt corrosion. The coordinating spoons are designed with fluted shell-shaped bowls and decorative ball finials. Very good antique condition overall. Crisp reeded design, strong gilding to interiors, and matching spoons. Minor marks to the interiors appropriate to age and use, a very shallow depression to the side of one salt, and slight unevenness to the spoon handles. The fitted leather case remains structurally sound with some expected light wear. These minor signs of age do not detract from the beauty or collectability of the set.
