Object description :

"Japanese Glasses Called Tengu Megane "
Rare set of two pairs of Japanese glasses called "tengu megane" in tortoiseshell. These glasses have the particularity of having a mobile element allowing to find the right distance between the eyes and the glasses because these glasses were intended for people whose nasal bridge was very little pronounced. The branches did not yet exist and the glasses were held to the ears by strings, as on one here (recent threads) One model is exceptional by its size.
