Art Deco Vermeil, Enamel And Agate Box, 1920s

A magnificent lapis lazuli effect enamel decorates this rectangular hinged box with cut sides in vermeil.
The lid is decorated with a beveled moss agate plate framed by a chiseled frieze of a leafy garland.
The circumference, including the hinge, is decorated with chiseled triangles of stylized floral motifs, standing out against a background of blue enamel with a lapis lazuli effect.
The back of the box is chiseled with a large acanthus leaf motif on a textured background, framed by a leafy garland frieze. Very lively vermeil interior. Hallmark 800.
1920s Art Deco style, probably Germany or Austria.

Please note: some almost invisible restorations to the enamel.
Tiny open inclusion on the agate plate.
