Sculpture group of characters 19th century period representing two lovers by Auguste Joseph Peiffer. Very interesting piece patinated period terracotta style signed by the artist on the base. Very good original condition with a magnificent original patina giving this work an original and very rare character. Very good condition also of the structure without any lack which is rare for a work of this period. Note the rural character of the characters and their clothes inspired by the 18th century French. Auguste Joseph Peiffer was a renowned artist born in 1865 and died in Paris in 1879. He participated in the Salons between 1865 and 1879 and is present in many museums.
