"18th Century Well Clock In Marble And Bronze Louis XVI Period "
Louis XVI period well clock The blue turquoise marble rim rests on a square Carrara marble terrace, with axle chases and their chains at each corner. These axle chases are often found in the alleys forming access to castles (the axle chase protects the trees from a possible impact from the wheels of the carriage). The movement is fixed to three pearled uprights entwined with a filigree, with a pomegranate symbolizing fertility at the top. Fleur-de-lis hands and enameled dial embellished with small gold pastilles at the hour markers. Well-preserved original gilding. Original movement to be revised with a cutaway.
