Rare and exceptional Portrait on framed canvas of good size and in good condition, attributed to Antoine-Philippe d'Orléans, born July 3, 1775 in Paris and died May 18, 1807 in Salt Hill, Duke of Montpensier, Prince of the French Blood member of the Orléans Family; painted around 1782, he was then 7 years old. Younger son of Louis-Philippe d'Orléans (1747-1793), Duke of Chartres then Duke of Orléans and the Duchess née Marie-Adélaïde de Bourbon, "Mademoiselle de enthièvre", daughter of Louis-Jean-Marie de Bourbon, Duke of Penthièvre. Antoine Philippe d'Orléans was born at the Palais-Royal in Paris on July 3, 1775 and was baptized the same day by Jean-Baptiste Talon, Chaplain to the Duke of Orléans, in the presence of Jean-Jacques Pouart, Priest of the Church of Saint Eustache in Paris and Confessor to the King. On May 12, 1788, Antoine-Philippe d'Orléans was baptized the same day as his elder brother Louis-Philippe, Duke of Valois (then of Chartres then Duke of Orléans in 1793, and future King of the French, in the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Versailles by the Bishop of Metz Louis-Joseph de Montmorency-Laval, Chaplain of the Court.
