Marnix D'Haveloose (1885-1973).
Belgian sculptor and painter. Son-in-law of the Antwerp watercolourist H. Cassiers, d'Haveloose took his first steps in Bruges, in the studio of the sculptor Michel D'Hondt, before completing his training at the Brussels Academy.
Goderlache Prize for sculpture in 1910, took refuge in England during the war, then settled in Brussels where he spent his entire career.
He participated in the 20th Salon of the Cercle "Pour l'Art" in 1912.
Professor at the Brussels Academy (1935-1955), he was its director between 1951 and 1955.
