"British Ship Silhouettes, Late 19th Century Under Glass Painting "
Painting under glass of silhouettes of British ships in a maple frame captioned in the lower part in gold letters "H M. S Euryalus and Eastern Monarch". The frigate Euryalus, launched in 1803, took part in the Battle of Trafalgar and then in the Anglo-American Wars (1812).
Provenance: according to an old printed label affixed to the back of the support cardboard: The Parker Gallery (Albemarle Street, London, W. 1).
English school of the end of the 19th century. Very good condition.
