"Cigar Humidor Hunting Case In Solid Silver, 19th Century"
Cigar case with hunting decoration in solid silver with Austrian title mark, 800/1000 silver. Important chiseled decoration representing a wild boar hunting scene, accompanied by foliage and a cartouche with a deer's head. The case reveals two caches: one for storing cigars in almost the entire length of the piece of goldwork, and the other a small hiding place of undetermined use (perhaps a box for snuff). Bears the name of the owner C. SCHUSTER on the upper lid. End of the 19th century, inventory number 1255 in ink on the inside of the lid.
