"6 Sterling Silver Egg Cups, Paris Circa 1840-50"
Rare series of six identical egg cups in solid silver of the first title (950%) dating from the second quarter of the nineteenth century. Each is engraved with two neo-Gothic capital letters MB. Apart from the guarantee mark with the head of Minerva, the master goldsmith mark JD, there is also an import mark on the egg cups. This is a Belgian import mark in force from 1831 to 1868. The half-dozen weighs grams.
