Beautifully manufactured clock signed on the dial "Richoud Paris Ft. Bd Montmartre", clockmaker referenced in the Tardy, dictionary of French clockmakers dated 1850. Made of an elegant mixture of patinated bronze and mercury-gilded bronze with gold on the theme of gardening love, richly decorated with potted trees.Bronze dial sawn in the center, petals and flowers. The whole is highlighted by a thick laurel wreath. Rectangular base decorated on the front with gardening tools.
Original mechanism without modification, silk thread suspension. Hour and half-hour strike on old bell.
