Carved Wooden Statue of Saint Anne and Saint Mary A beautiful church statue, depicting Saint Anne with the Virgin Mary Stunning hand carving with a great amount of detail and a wonderful grey paint job with remnants of the old polychromy The clothes that Saint Anne wears are very detailed, her dress is wonderfully shaped and her sleeves have a very nice scalloped and pleated design Minor imperfections on the small child holding the apple, a few fingers are missing This statue is very beautifully made, the back is completely hollowed out to prevent the wood from cracking On the back you can see some remnants of the beautiful blue dress she once wore Worn with age and a stunning patina Dating from the early 18th century, this statue is in very good condition 117cm high 43cm wide 26cm deep
