Circular bronze plaque with brown patina decorated with the Judgement of Paris. Old Nuremberg edition, workshop of Wenzel JAMNITZER after the model of 1565 Diam. 15 cm, round frame in painted and gilded wood 20 cm in diam. Good condition Hans Jamnitzer is the eldest son of the famous goldsmith Wenzel Jamnitzer (1508-1558) in Nuremberg. He became a master goldsmith in 1558 and made a silver bell for Emperor Ferdinand I, as well as works for the Count of Ferrara.
