Rare 18th Century Silver-gilt Filigree Sprinkler.

Description:
Gilded silver.
Filigree is an ancient technique (about 6000 years old) consisting of reproducing a shape by a mesh of patterns in very fine wire.
This technique has rather been used for jewelry, or art objects. The use in a sprinkler is very rare. We are here in an exceptional quality and decoration. The shell spoon has a volute at the base.
At the joint with the handle, we will see two flowers, a tiny bird perched on two leaves. The handle is surrounded by a rope pattern. A filigree fretel almost invisible by its smallness aesthetically finishes the handle.

Condition:
Excellent for this type of object, no lack or accident, simply it seems that there is a repair at the base of the handle, barely visible on the back.
