Rare and historical testimony that this "In 4" booklet, well bound in half-morocco with reinforced corners, ribbed spine, gilded title and marbled guards, prestigious 19th century binding: "Minutes" of the Assembly of the Order of Nobility of the "Grand Billiage of Caen". Held in the Royal Abbey of St-Etienne of said place, on the seventeenth of March one thousand seven hundred and eighty-nine, after an oath taken yesterday in the Church of said Abbey, at the Assembly of the three Orders, presided over by Mr. the Duke of Coigny, Peer of France, & Grand-Bailli d'épée; in the presence of Mr. the Lieutenant General, & Mr. the King's Prosecutor of said Bailiwick. In Caen from the Printing House of G. Le Roy, sole Printer of the King. 1789. (vignette on the title with the crowned Arms of France).
