Michel Bepoix, born in Nice on June 22, 1937, is a French painter, composing in his early works characters as well as figures, animals, nudes, landscapes, interiors, still lifes, flowers. In 1954, at the age of seventeen, Michel Bepoix successfully passed the entrance exam for the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Nice and joined the studio of the sculptor Maurice Gambier. He produced figurative paintings and then collages from torn newspapers, particularly aesthetic in the vein of Aesbacher.
