"A Detail Of The Doge's Palace In Venice. "
Elegant watercolor from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, all in shades of beige and white, depicting a pillar of the Doge's Palace in Venice, at the corner of the loggia. The former owner of this drawing had given this work to Paul Duverney (1866-1925), an excellent watercolorist, who actually made a trip to Italy, passed through Venice, and illustrated his stages. It is framed in a good late 19th century gilded baguette, with a wash pass.
