A fine Famille Rose creamer and cover decorated with brilliant enamels with a scene of a lady being guided to a maidservant who carries a ewer and cup on a tray. Yongzheng C 1722/36.Height with cover; 4 1/4" (10.7 cm).
Condition; excellent, very minor glaze frit to the end of the knob.
This scene is most likely from "The Romance of the Western Chamber" with the hero Zhang Sheng and his lover, Cui Yingying.
