Biography:
Jean JANSSEN, (1913 – 2006) was born in Anvers sur Oise.
Nicknamed painter of everyday life, close friend of Lucie AUBRAC, he contributed to the liberation of 3000 Jews, thanks to the creation of false diplomas during the Second World War.
He was passionate about painting and never wanted to exhibit.
His works remained hidden for a long time, and the town of Moissac, where he ended his life, exclusively hosted the paintings of this unknown artist and hero in 2022.
