Rare set of 18 Japanese plates in vermilion red lacquer with hand-painted decoration with different shades of matte gold and some black highlights. Decorative use but especially food. This type of plate was used in Japan for festive meals. Handcrafted in wood, these plates have all different lacquer decorations. They measure approximately 19 cm in diameter by 3.7 cm in height. They are very well preserved, only one has a very small chip. They can constitute a very spectacular decoration hung on a wall or will amaze your guests for a festive meal!
