Superb and original vintage jewellery pendant
The necklace is designed by a complex composition of 3 superimposed registers and connected by networks of chains: triangular at the top, square in the center and polylobed at the bottom.
The whole is decorated with 12 red and green glass cabochons cut with facets like diamond-point.
The central part is notably decorated with stylized birds, lower part with floral or leafy motifs. The leaf motif is still repeated by numerous pendants of the jewel.
Its upper attachment in the shape of a simple S shape hook shows that it was perhaps part of a larger set.
The jewel seems to me to be in silver and vermeil rather than silver-plated brass but no hallmark is visible (It could be low-grade silver) ?
