"Pair Of Angels On A Sculpted Base From The 1700s"
Pair of angels on a Sculpted Base from the 1700s are two naked putti covered only by a golden loincloth; apparently two announcing angels but without wings, standing on tiptoe with a sinuous posture and with their arms outstretched to indicate the main subject of the original decorative apparatus. They rest on two beautiful baroque bases with two faces of winged angels in the centre. The lacquering of the bodies has been redone and two small knuckles are missing in the right hand of a figure. Northern Italy 1700.
