"Crucifix In Rosewood Inlaid With Mother-of-pearl. Vietnam 19th Century."
These crucifixes were created in large quantities in Vietnam for Vietnamese, Chinese and other Christians. They are carved in beautiful rosewood and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. The decorations are always identical, flowers, scrolls and tendrils. The example presented here is typical of this production that can be dated to the 19th century. Good condition. Dimensions approximately: Height: 36cm thickness: 1.5cm
