Pewter EWER with a flared shape and horizontal groove, richly molded spout with ribboned edge, circular stepped pedestal and C-shaped handle with draped crosier.
Hallmark of Claude Antoine DURAND received as master in 1723: large crowned lily / CAD
Height: 23.7 cm.
NANCY, Second third of the 18th century

In very good condition, a discret consolidation of the lower attachment of the handle and the pouring spout as well as an impact zone under the foot are however indicated by colored arrows.
Bibliography: "Etains de Lorraine" by Bertrand Bergbauer, who identifies and reproduces this hallmark and a ewer of the same type
