"China - Rare Double-body Apothecary Cabinet - 19th Century."
Very rare and impressive apothecary's cabinet in lacquered and carved "Hong mu" wood with two bodies. The front is partly composed of 41 small drawers on which we can still find traces of polychromy and ideograms which must have indicated the name of the different plants containing them as well as an open box at the top. Characterful piece of furniture with a lovely patina. Dimensions: Height: 207 cm; Length: 93 cm; Width: 49.5 cm. Origin: China. Period: 19th. Conditions: Very good general condition.
