"Canon's Camail - Circa 1930 - 1940 - Religious Clothing"
Jili camail - or mosette -, short priestly cape worn over the cassock or choir habit (rochet) by Catholic ecclesiastical dignitaries.Here, it is a canon's camail: black fabric with purple edging and rabbit fur. With small hood ("disappeared" after the 1940s). Purple inner lining.
First half of the 20th century.
Height: approximately 45 cm.
All buttons are present (sewn by hand).
