Magnificent Pair of Candlesticks in chiseled, gilded and guilloché bronzes Restoration period around 1820. 19th century Brilliant Original condition, Sumptuous Mercury Gilding in two tones Matt and Burnished (Brilliant). Everything is original. Chiseling of a very great execution, complete, traces of use and age. Dimensions: Height 27 cm Base Diameter 12 cm Architecture Torch: rests on a very beautiful and elegant Round Base with rich decoration and interlacing foliage in relief, and with a fine outline of flat leaves, decorated with fine and numerous moldings on the whole, stands a shower foot with a laurel crown ring where stands a superb shaft in the shape of an Antique column with fluting and flats, with a bulging base decorated with rich palmettes and ovates and flowers, the top in the shape of a capital with astragal and basket shape, ending with an abacus with tight striation decoration, where rests a pretty basin decorated with overflowing acanthus leaves, and ends with a beautiful socket in the shape of a Vase very richly decorated in succession of acanthus leaves and palmettes and interlacing flowers, topped with a beautiful removable hollow bobeche for candle decorated with ovates and large flat molding.
