Object description :

"Lithograph Frontispiece “facsimile Of The Colored Monuments Of Egypt” 1825 Napoléon Campaign "
"More than 160 leading French artists and scientists were connected with the young Napoleon Bonaparte's (1769-1821) Egyptian campaign in 1798-99. This lithograph is a page from the splendid work Description de l'Egypte. The printing plates were large, which meant that Napoleon considered the undertaking a particularly prestigious project. The first edition, known as the Imperial Edition, consisted of no fewer than 23 volumes. » This is the first page of this encyclopedia, the original frontispiece from 1825. The color lithograph has minimal defects given its age, almost 200 years old (stains, foxing, etc.). The 1900 pitch pine frame with marquetry fillet (as can be seen in the last photo) is left with the lithograph (the original glass has a crack in one corner). POSSIBILITY OF SHIPPING, careful reinforced packaging, registered with signature, insurance and tracking on the internet by its number (shipping costs).
