Inlaid Walnut Lyre Shaped Chest of Drawers Three Drawers 1800 of Italian Piedmontese origin in good condition sinceit was restored about twenty years ago. The bracket feet are decorated with a frontal carving with foliage and racemes that is repeated on the outer frame that frames the drawers, which are decorated in turn with an oval tableau with geometric decorations done in boxwood inlay, around the flush lock spout. The lyre-shaped sides, the top with central inlay in an oval field with a horse and figure chariot on an ebonized pearwood background.
The top has been replaced in the past from the original, which must have been a marble top. Piedmont, Italy first half of the 1800s.
