kokeshi doll representing the goddess kannon with its box if we translate the lid its written temple yukotsuji or shunkotsu or kakkotsuji made by fusonomiya i was told the artist was kato soraen but japanese writing is difficult to translate
the doll is 35,5cm on 7 cm diametre the box measures 40cm on 12 cm
the doll is simple and wonderfully stylised
