Louis XV Style Display Cabinet circa 1870 by Vernis Martin This perfect piece of furniture is a display cabinet with Vernis Martin and plaques in a gold plated frame. Bombe shaped, in the Louis XV style, it features a central panel and two Vernis Martin style side panels. Large and impressive, designed for the finest interiors. Parquet surfaces adorn the sides of the curved wooden panels, and gilt bronze fixtures frame the main spaces and define the edges of the curved wooden structure. The interior is upholstered in a tasteful shade of burgundy velvet, the back is mirrored. In short, this piece is an extraordinary and highly refined example of French furniture and craftsmanship of the second half of the 19th century.
